It started, as the best love stories do, with cats. Having four-legged family members in common was what first caught our attention, and a shared love for gaming and streaming quickly brought our worlds together, both online and eventually in real life.

Getting to truly know each other wasn't easy, though. Julie lived in Oslo and Elias in Malmö, and long-distance in the middle of covid was anything but comfortable. But on New Year's Eve 2020, on the grand square in the heart of Copenhagen, as the fireworks lit up the sky above us, we knew: this is real.

Five New Year's Eves later, we stood in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm as fireworks lit up the sky. Beside Molin's Fountain, surrounded by its six swans and figures from Norse mythology, Elias got down on one knee. Julie said yes, and when the ring was placed on her finger, the first stone had been laid for the family we'd always dreamed of. Today we are three, and our adventure has only just begun.

On August 15, 2026, we invite you to celebrate with us at Salt & Sill in the heart of the Bohuslän archipelago — where the salt air meets the summer sun and the horizon stretches wide.
